It started in a dorm room, not a boardroom.

In 2017, a small sock-selling operation became the seed capital for our first project: ceramic water filters delivered to three rural schools in Guatemala. What started as one campaign became a mission built around a simple belief: clean water should never be the difference between life and death.

Since that first project in Guatemala, we've installed a solar-powered borehole in Matchakos, Kenya, brought rainwater harvesting systems and medical screenings to Yaxe, Oaxaca in Mexico, and are currently powering a solar borehole in Dwenantwi, Asamankase, Ghana.

Who We Are

Built by people who show up.

The Cause International was founded by Antoine Taylor, who grew up in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, and played football at Saint John's University in Minnesota. What began as a student venture became a nonprofit with a single focus.

Co-founder Samantha Wells partnered with Antoine early, and together they made the decision that would define everything after: profits would fund something bigger than the business itself.

Today the work is carried out alongside local leaders, community members, medical volunteers, and partners on the ground in every country we operate in. We do not install and disappear. We build relationships that outlast the ribbon cutting.

How We Work

Built to last, not to launch.

A water system that fails in two years is not impact, it is a photo opportunity. Everything we fund is designed to still be running long after we have gone home.

Identify

We identify communities lacking reliable access to clean water, and we listen first. The community defines the need, not us.

Fund & Deliver

We fund and deliver systems built for local, long-term use, from ceramic filters to solar-powered boreholes and rainwater harvesting.

Partner

We partner with communities to maintain those systems for generations, not just seasons. Local ownership is the whole point.
